Remembrances of Our Townsfolk
BY BONNI BRODNICK

In Pound Ridge Past: Remembrances of Our Townsfolk, author Bonni Brodnick creates a lively, intimate glimpse of Pound Ridge, New York, spanning local wisdom from the 1920s through the 1970s and beyond. I found the stories and photography delightful and inspiring. One could spout a long list of literary glitterati and theatrical or silver screen performers who have lived in this snug little town.

If you are looking for a book with insightful historical perspectives of daily life and nostalgic moments of a time gone by, Ms.Brodnick's book is an elegantly written journey. The black-and-white photography by Fran Collin is well articulated and depicts just the right interpretation of the times. This book goes beyond the townsfolk or those who have passed on. Reading Pound Ridge Past is a bit like taking a friend's hand and listening--voices who make the moments live again. Highly recommended.
