2026 Winner: Eleni Moon
Pound Ridge, The Story: A Play in One Act
Eleni Moon received the 2026 Hiram Halle Prize at the Pound Ridge Historical Society meeting on May 13, 2026. Her creative and imaginative play portrays a day in the life of residents gathering at the General Store in Scotts Corners, long considered the heart of the community.
PRHS congratulates Eleni for her outstanding research and skillful synthesis of key elements of Pound Ridge history.
Walking Tours at the Pound Ridge Park and in Scotts Corners
Project by Kyle Vogel - viewable by downloading the free app Traipse
Kyle created interactive scavenger hunts – two walking tours – one at the Town Park and the other around Scotts Corners. By using the app Traipse you are guided around to various points of interest, asked questions that you can readily answer by checking out the site. We are planning to have QR codes installed at the museum, the park and, hopefully around town, to get people started. Fun for all ages!
Pound Ridge: A Rich History of Service
Project by Jon Torre - viewable here
Jon created a video - “A Rich History of Service” recounting the town’s involvement in serving our country over the last 250+ years from the Revolutionary War up to Iraq. He interviewed a few veterans about their experiences - including the support they received from the home front. An important addition to our archives.
